Would it be better to order flowers to be delivered to mom tomorrow or deliver them myelf?

Its her birthday tomorrow, and I want her to get a big bouquet. Its about $50 or more dollars for a decent little birthday one. Is it cheaper to get it myself? Also, I wont be able to get to moms work until after 2:00. Do you think its more fun to get flowers delivered by a delivery guy or her daughter?

Would it be better to order flowers to be delivered to mom tomorrow or deliver them myelf?
I have always wanted flowers delivered to me but she might want to see you.

If she sees you all the time have them delivered that would be more fun.

She would not know who they are from at first and it will make her wonder and I think that would be more exciting
Reply:The delivery guy.
Reply:Delivered, it suprises her and you can then send her a cute card with it.
Reply:definately more fun to get delivered.
Reply:By the delivery guy if he's wearing shorts, no shirt, and does a dance.

She would prefer that you deliver the flowers yourself regardless of cost. It would mean more.
Reply:I would want my daughter to come and bring me my flowers :-)
Reply:I'm quite sure that she'd love to see you.
Reply:Of course by her daughter. It's a lot more personal, and I doubt she will mind if if come in the afternoon.
Reply:What you could do is buy and have delivered a smaller bunch of flowers...then...buy a single white rose and give it to her in the afternoon and tell her the single rose is because she is a singularly great mom and the single rose is because alone, like the rose, she stands out from all the rest. trust me, she will love the thought of the delivery to her workplace and love you for the sentiment of the rose.

Poinsettia longevity and tips?

Costco has some beautiful Poinsettias right now for the holiday season. My mother loves flowers and the such. Her birthday is January 3rd, and I was thinking of getting her one for her birthday, however I'm not exactly familiar with how often they should be watered or their longevity? I'm worried if I wait to buy it after Christmas, they will all be gone.

My question is, if I bought it next weekend, would it last another week and a half with proper care? And what tips would you give me regarding caring for it? Obviously as I am up in Canada and we're expecting a blizzard tonight, it'll be kept indoors.

Poinsettia longevity and tips?
Choose a plant that looks healthy and does not have wilted looking blooms. Ask the clerk at the store for a bag, preferably paper, to put the plant in so that it won't suffer from the cold when you move it from the warmer indoor temps to the cold outside as you transport it home. Water it lightly when you get home and it should be just fine until her birthday.

The blooms ( actually the plant's leaves which have changed color ) should last another couple of weeks depending on the plant and when it came into "bloom". I've had blooms last up to a month beyond the holidays.

I have kept Poinsettias for many seasons. Just keep them watered as you would any houseplant.
Reply:Poinsettias are perennials that with proper care will last for years. This is therir peak time right now so it you don't overwater it and it has the right amount of sun and no drafts it will do fine.

My one suggestion, when you buy one take a bag for it and put it in the bag in the store. Even the small time its outdoors in the wind and cold will be a shock to it. I live in a cooler zone 5 so know the effect of cold air on the plants..

I just did an article on poinsettia care that you may want to read. It covers taking care of it through the entire year. Good luck! Denise http://thegardenersrake.com

Anyone remember how to make tissue or crepe paper trees?

I am having a Dora birthday paper and I made giant tissue paper flowers. Now I would like to remember how to make those tissue or crepe paper trees. Any ideas? Seems you use tissue rolls and crepe paper.

Anyone remember how to make tissue or crepe paper trees?
Take 12 large sheets of tissue paper and fold back and forth like a fan. Put a piece of wire in the middle to hang. The cut the end round or pointed. The pull apart the layer of tissue paper into a flower shape. Martha Stewart has a kit at Michaels Craft store very easy. Good Luck ;)))))

Is it appropriate for me to give a necklace for my cousin's 14th birthday?

The necklace i'm planning to get her has a golden flower on it. is it appropriate or should i get her something else?

Is it appropriate for me to give a necklace for my cousin's 14th birthday?
sure!why not?what is important is that you'll give her a gift on her special day regardless of how much money you spent with it.I'm sure she'll be happy to receive it..:)
Reply:That sounds beautiful... How sweet...
Reply:it's fine as long as that is the only golden flower of hers you ever see.

unless you're in mississippi
Reply:At her age, the answer is NO and I suppose that the necklace it's epensive.A necklace it's a propper gift for a girlfriend or a wife.
Reply:yes
Reply:Just the fact that you asked, makes me wonder... why not just a card and a gift card? are you in love with her? Why are you so worried if it is appropriate or not? If you are concerned, better stick to generic things, like a gift card...

strange..... strange question
Reply:Why is this question in Single and Dating!?!? What are your intentions for giving a gold necklace as a gift?
Reply:Why wouldn't it be and why is this question under singles/dating?
Reply:sure..
Reply:I think it's appropriate if you think it's appropriate.

In other words, you decide...

Necklaces are nice, especially when you're fourteen...
Reply:why wouldnt you be able to give it to her?
Reply:its the thought that counts...
Reply:Yes it would be a nice gift to give she will love it all girls love jewelry
Reply:Yes it is a nice gift
Reply:Yes, it's perfectly perfect for a 14 year old. I would just explain to her the value of it, both financial and emotional value it has. This way she'll cherish it and realize it's worth.
Reply:I hope she a girl. This is okay, depending on how much money was spent for the necklace.
Reply:Yes, I think that is really cute!!! Teenage girls love jewelry.
Reply:well i don't see anything wrong with it. why wouldn't you give her a necklace. well it all depends is that what she wants or do you want it to be a surprise. i don't see anything wrong with giving a 14 year old a necklace. i think it will teach her responsibility too. learn to take care of things. looking at it she's going to say wow this looks quite expensive i should really take care of it.
Reply:yes
Reply:It sounds like a great gift!
Reply:I think a necklace would be nice. But not silver because it turns black and you HAVE to clean it. Maybee white/gold. Silver is a pain. It is okay to buy that.
Reply:i hope these are not sexual references, that's gross if so

if not, perfectly ok

How to take care of my rose plant which is indoor?

I got this Rose plant in a small pot as a gift on my birthday I loved it .its only 3 days the flowers and the buds appear weak and droopy.I have placed it in the window where it can get sufficient sunlight and i have been watering it daily. We stay in 3rd floor we dont have a balcony either to transfer it to a larger pot.plz some one help me to keep this plant alive and healthy.plz

How to take care of my rose plant which is indoor?
Roses aren't really all that suited for indoor growing environments.

It seems, from your description, that you are watering too much.

If you really, really want to try it indoors, first thing is to transplant it into a clay pot. A good old fashioned terra cotta clay pot. The clay will allow water to escape through the pot, and not just water log the soil as plastic pots do.

Water the plant, then allow it to drain completely. Allow the soil to dry out somewhat before watering again. Check it every other day, but probably doesn't need water more than twice or three times per week, less while the air conditioning is on. Keep it in as bright a window as you can.

Fertilize it in the spring and summer, don't fertilize in the fall or winter. In the winter, move it to a darker window, and a cooler room if you can. Daytime temps should be 20 degrees or so warmer than night time temps in the winter. That is important.

It really is going to be difficult, don't be disappointed if you can't get it to work out.

Good luck-
Reply:I have the same problem when I try to grow them inside. My husband bought me two little miniature roses not long ago. I told him I could never grow them inside. Since we live in southern California, after the roses drooped, I decided to plant them outside. Now they are full of blooms and as healthy as they can be. Even when I lived in Europe I couldn't keep them healthy inside, so I planted them outside and they came back in the spring. I do know that watering them inside to much is not good, the soil can't dry out as it should.

Girls! Does this sound like a good birthday present/date?

I have been dating a girl for a little over 7 months. I am completely head over heels for her and know she feels the same way about me. Coming up is her 16th birthday, and I wanted to know if this sounded like a good birthday.

I would pick her up for dinner and a movie, and bring with me her favorite flowers (oriental lillies) and her first gift, a digital picture frame that changes pictures with a memory card with pictures of us already on it. We would go out to eat at her favorite place (Fazolli's), and after finishing I would give her a second gift, a digital camera (I know she really wants one) to go with the frame. We would top the night off at a park, and I would tell her to close her eyes and put on a necklace of pink (her favorite color) sapphires and diamonds, in the shape of a heart with white gold, and have her open them.

Let me know any thoughts or ideas about this and whether it is good or not. I sure hope it is as I have already bought everything :D!

Girls! Does this sound like a good birthday present/date?
oh my gosh that sounds amazing! I think it sounds like a perfect idea and I would be so happy if someone did that for me!
Reply:well, as long as you don't mind spending all that money it sounds amazing! her parents don't mind you taking her out on her birthday rather than having her home?

It still is a beautiful idea for a gift though! :)
Reply:that sounds way too pricey for teenagers, and 7 months.

she's definitely going to love it, though, i'll tell you that much.

Should I give my girlfriend flowers for her Sweet 16?

Her party is tonite, her birthday is Sunday. I want to get her some roses, but I'm not sure if thats the greatest idea, and to be honest, Im a little embarrassed about showing up to the party holding flowers. Im not gonna have her gift, because I'm giving it to her tomorrow when were alone (yes, she knows this). Do you think roses for this is such a good idea that I should just do it?

Should I give my girlfriend flowers for her Sweet 16?
Yes a good idea

girls love flowers and shell probably appreciate the fact that you looked like an idiot holding flowers for her

and btw dong be embarrassed by holding flowers dude

if someones bustin your balls about it just shrug it off i think your gf is worth it right?
Reply:I dont understand why you would ever doubt bringing her roses lol. They are such a sweet gesture. If not flowers a card with something very sweet but not too emotional written in like "i think the world of you" or "you are very special to me"

hope all goes well! :)
Reply:I think that would be very sweet!

Don't get red roses, maybe pink! And don't get them wrapped in cellophane. Get a vase or a cloth like material. The florist will know what i mean.

Good Luck and have fun tonight!
Reply:That would be a very thoughtful gift!
Reply:i would give her some thing else... but if you do make sure there her favorite

How do I help someone grieve for lost pet?

Today has not been good. My boyfriend got a puppy a couple months ago. Levi. He fell in love with him and they were inseperable.(The puppy even would jump in the shower when he would be in there.) Today was my boyfriends 23rd birthday. I sent him some flowers, when he opened the door for the UPS guy Levi ran out and was hit by a car and died immediently. He had to see the body and everything. He then carried it and buried him in the sideyard. He called me crying his eyes out. He kept saying " I miss him, I want him back." I live a few hours away from him and cant see him until this weekend. I feel so bad, the card I sent with the flowers said --- Love me and Levi.--- .He even went out last night to petsmart with Levi and bought him some new toys and everything. What can i do? Anything? My heart is breaking for him and Levi. He sounds horrible on the phone.

Man, why do things like this have to happen!!

How do I help someone grieve for lost pet?
I heard a story once that might help.

This veterinarian was on his way home, and he had to stop at a client's house to put their old dog to sleep. He wasn't looking forward to it, because the family had a 6 year old boy. When he got to the house, he knocked on the door and the little boy answered. The vet noticed the little boy seemed cheerful, so he was worried the parents hadn't told the boy what was going to happen. He asked the boy "do you know why I'm here?" The little boy said yes. He then asked "so you know Goldie will go to sleep tonight and not wake up?" The little boy said yes. So the vet asked if he was upset about that. The little boy said no.

Then the little boy said, "My grandma told me that we are all here to become the best we can possibly be, and it just doesn't take dogs as long."

Maybe Levi was too perfect to stay.
Reply:Send some more flowers and a card with the poem Rainbow Bridge. It's about the loss of a pet. And maybe when he feels up to it you both can go pick out another puppy.
Reply:Sometimes life just sucks! What an awful tragedy. It's important for people who have lost pets to know that there are others in the world who know it's not "just a dog". That we cherish our pets, try our best to protect them and treat them right and that their loss is like losing a beloved friend or family member.

I know your friend will be comforted by your compassion and distress at his puppy's death.
Reply:Just listen to him ,your company is all he needs.Time is a great doctor.
Reply:Different people need different things. I myself would want to be alone, and would also want another dog to help comfort me. Do not get your bf another dog though. He should pick out his next one without having him/her pressed on him. I think the best thing that you can do for him is listen to him and let him know you are there to help if there's anything he needs.

I ONLY WANTED YOU

They say memories are golden

well maybe that is true.

I never wanted memories,

I only wanted you.

A million times I needed you,

a million times I cried.

If love alone could have saved you

you never would have died.

In life I loved you dearly,

In death I love you still.

In my heart you hold a place

no one could ever fill.

If tears could build a stairway

and heartache make a lane,

I'd walk the path to heaven

and bring you back again.

Our family chain is broken,

and nothing seems the same.

But as God calls us one by one,

the chain will link again.

Run free Levi. You are loved and missed so terribly.

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.

There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Birthday present for a 22 year old!!!?

Ok guys, Im thinking of a present to give my girlfriend on her 22nd birthday. its her first birthday with me. i dont like flowers.

Birthday present for a 22 year old!!!?
Women love jewelery, but a ring or necklace are too "serious relationshipy", go for a pair of earrings. ALL 22 year old girls love them and she'll be psyched that you went and picked them out. They're pretty inexpensive too. You can get silver instead of gold for 20-50 bucks, whatever floats your boat.

Do pay attention to the ones she already wears and try and stay within the same style and size. If she wears dangly, get dangly. If she prefers studs get studs. She'll be floored.
Reply:Give her a lovely bear wiht a cosmetic
Reply:A necklace.

Reply:Depends on how long you've been together........jewelry is always nice.
Reply:no jewerly. its cruel (promotes slavery)

i am in my early 20s and i would love to get books, makeup, perfume, electronic gadget (mps player if she doesnt have, camera, TV, etc..) giftcard to itune or other place to download music, something useless for her apartment (fancy candle holder, cake dish) home cooked meal, home baked cake, a trip..even if its just a romantic weekend to a log cabin, dinner to a very fancy restaurant where we can get dressed up and go with a limo, stay at a fancy hotel in town

Get her a gift card for that store, or restaurant. Can you believe that my scummy MIL didn't even send me a card for my birthday?

She is probably worth a million so she can afford it. My SIL came to my hubby's 40th birthday dinner and picked him a flower off a bush in front of the restaraunt and she is the Director of Risk Management for a Hospital and makes about $75K. What do I say or do to his family? PS ~ I am a strong Christian so nothing ugly, please. Blessings!

Can you believe that my scummy MIL didn't even send me a card for my birthday?
Anger is an emotion given to us by God and your calling her scummy is a reflection of the hurt that she has caused you. Your honesty with your question is the only way to get a true answer and calling her scummy here is a good place to do so because it does not hurt you, her or your chances of building a relationship. It is unfortunate that some have come across as judgmental but the truth is that the only person you can control is you. You are trying to have the best relationship that you can with your MIL because you have to have a relationship with her. Make your actions those of Christ and focus on your relationship with your husband. You also may bake her some cookies or something. That may "heap burning coals" on her head. (Proverbs 25:21-22)
Reply:Actually to me being with my family for my birthday, and nothing more, is worth a million to me. That is gift enough.
Reply:what difference does it make? if you don't care for her, why do you need a b-day card from her? my in laws don't aknowledge my b-day either. i'm fine with that as long as they remember our kids and mu husband.
Reply:well i have incountered MIL and SIL problems myself. and no matter what you say or do it will never be good enough....so just remember that the ONLY person you need to make happy is your husband....and really dont let that they make mega bucks and wont buy you a b day card bother you....then it seems like you are jealous of there wealth.......we choose the roads to go down and if you didnt choose a money maker road then thats your choice.....but dont be jealous or let it bug you that someone didnt do this or that.......move on.....its petty.
Reply:Jesus had encounters with Satan and resisted him. You should do the same with your inlaws.
Reply:Might be your scummy attitude that keeps her from wanting to be a part of your birthday or anything else.

Ever thought about how you portray yourself to her?

If you were a Christian you would have never spoken as harsh as you did here. You make good people that are Christians look bad in the eyes of others.
Reply:Some people dont do presents/birthdays up big at all. I wouldnt do or say anything to his family. Happy Birthday!
Reply:Would Jesus be calling her 'scummy'? I think not. You should be praying about the situation instead of asking on Y!A.

Blabbing about how bad someone is online is not a very Christian approach. You should have a more loving heart.

Maybe instead of venting so much, get your Bible out and read it.
Reply:well, if you were a strong christian you would not be calling your mother in law scummy...and...you would not be venting about how much money they have and should spend...did she call you? to me, picking up a flower off a bush is a cute idea... it should not be about how much one spends, but, it's the thought that counts! if she did not call you, I can see why...you have an attitude and it needs to change =(...

Ways to make my friends 14th birthday special..?
Make her a home-made card for her! It will mean so much more! Also, get her a "bouquet" of brithday balloons and get her flowers if you can afford them, (roses are usually the most expensive; get lilies or sunflowers or something...). Make her a single cupcake and decorate it with yummy frosting and rainbow sprinkles. Put a birthday candle in the center, light it, and let her Make a Wish! You could also promise her a shopping spree or a "Day at the Spa" at your house. Be creative, think smart (about budget), and have fun! =D
Reply:Get her a ballon, a single yellow (Stands for friendship and joy), and a card-either store bought or handmade. =]

Good luck!

and order her a cute boquet of flowers..it will be delivered whenever you want her to. and the message in the card can say "meet me at ___". Tell her to meet in the park or something and when she arrives take her to a nice restaurant.
Reply:give her a card and explain the situation, then when you get the gift, surprise her by going to her house at a really random time. like 5:30am and present your gift personally, that would make it really special to see how much you cared to do all this stuff to get her the gift.

I bought a rose flower for my mother birthday but I think it was not sutable for her.what should I do now?
What makes you think it was not "suitable"? It was a gift from you. It was thoughtful and beautiful. Was she not grateful? Perhaps her unhappiness had nothing to do with your flower. Have you talked to her about it? Perhaps she has other things on her mind.

If you gave your gift from love and gratitude, that's all you need to be concerned with. The receiver's reaction: let it go.

I wish you Peace.
Reply:You poor thing, I think it should have been a wonderful gift because it was givin w/love. If she doesn't apprieciate that honey then you deserve a better mother. I know that sounds rediculous now, but your not the only kind soul that is trying to broken down by their loved ones.

You are good enough!! Don't ever question that again please.
Reply:I think the best is to give her is "Dress"......with flowers.....She will sure love it...
Reply:Please, if she didn't look happy, then give here something else. Maybe a few dollars would do. I don't like roses either. Too much money spent on them to look at them die. But, she still should've pretend to be happy. It's the thought whats count.
Reply:As a mother, I would love to get a rose. I think she liked it more than you think, just because it came from you. Trust that your mother loves you and knows you love her, too. Sometimes other things going on affects how you react to something. Talk to her, and it will work out!

Reply:Well first sayyou ordered somrthing and since it wasnt shipped you got her a flower for now. Give her a surprise party luau...The suppiles want shipped over yet
Reply:I know it sounds trite, but it really is the thought that counts. As a mother, I don't place ANY importance on what a gift is, but what it represents. It means more to me that my child sincerely thought of me than anything she puts in my hands. I'm sorry, I know you're feeling disappointed, but it's possible that you're misinterpreting her feelings. Then again, maybe she doesn't have the same kind of selflessness that you do. You have a tender heart and as long as your gift was heartfelt, you should not second-guess it. Any rose my daughter gave me would be the most beautiful flower in the world!
Reply:give her a cake
Reply:That was sweet of you and I am sure she liked it :) So now, go paint her toes nails and finger nails. Do her hair and makeup and she will cherish this day forever :)
Reply:give her a "day at the at home spa"
Reply:I think it's too bad that she could not be more gracious about receiving a nice gift like that.
Reply:She should of been happy that you even got her something. Anybody who does not apreciate your gift didnt deserve it from the get go. Sounds a little selfish to me. Dont trip, thats her deal!
Reply:Her problem, not yours. Move on. Next birthday, plan differently.
Reply:I think it's the thought that counts. You might think she doesn't like it but maybe she really love it! but next time try to make her something i am sure she will love it~

Fundraising ideas for the office?

We're just a little office (25), but we like to have money for employee birthday flowers, special lunches, etc. With this few people, I'm looking for ideas on how to raise a bit more petty cash from within.

Fundraising ideas for the office?
There are so many things to do...do you have a BJ's or Sam's Club, or some place available to purchase items in bulk? where i work, we sell candy bars for $1 each. we purchase @ BJ's. of course you would need start-up cash. unfortunately, it takes cash to make cash, but buying in bulk can be a good way to start. is your office open to the public? that way people coming in could also take part, although if it is just used for inhouse events, i probably wouldn't go there. we do it for the United Way, and we have signs posted stating where the funds are going. we also have about 150 employees, and the public helping. maybe, you could start having employees contribute a certain dollar amount a month or year that would help to cover some costs. cut the birthday flowers down to a single rose, to be able to have more available for special lunches. the person who just had the last birthday will be responsible for providing the cake for the next birthday, homemade works too...with a small office it will be harder to raise funds from within...you could contact a tupperware dealer (or some other item that there may be an interest in) in your area to discuss fundraising. the employees could have their friends and families make purchases and your office would get a percentage of the sales.

What is a great romantic/thoughtful birthday gift idea for my girlfriend?

she is going to be 27. we've been together for 2 years. i previously have given gifts like a calendar filled with pics n bdays of everyone she knows; surprised her when i went to work, but came right back with lots of flowers n breakfast from her favorite restaurant; threw a surprise celebration for her birthday with friends; i'm short on money but want to make a serious effort to remind her she's special to me. thank you for any ideas you have..=)

Put a photo album together.

Inexpensive and personal.

I think it would be pretty thoughtful.

I suggest trying www.creanta.com

They offer beautiful hand made paintings made from your favorite photograph or a loved one’s favorite photograph.

They’re very affordable and accommodate special painting requirements.

What I like about them is that they are reeeeaally good at capturing the physical likeness, something others can’t do. I was extremely happy with the results.

Best wishes!!

30th Birthday cake ideas?

Looking for ideas as to what to put on a cake (sheet) for my sister who will be 30. She does not like flowers and frilly stuff. This will not be a dirty cake. She will be surprised. Do not want black icing. Will have the words on there as far who it is for and from. What other simple designs and colors would look great?

30th Birthday cake ideas?
How about having crushed graham crackers and oreos mixed spread around the edges and a little tossed in the middle with the words "Older than Dirt"?

Or how about the words "It's all fun and games until it happens to you"?

I don't know if I'd put "Happy 30th Mary from your friends" (this is just an example: don't know what sis' name is) on it without adding a bit of pokey humor. Everyone knows that turning 30 is a huge milestone and it's fun to make fun.

Any color would be cool - pick her 2 favorite colors and have them just do balloons in those colors in each corner of the cake.

Happy birthday to your sis!
Reply:If you can locate a really cute photo of her from when she was little, you could have Albertsons (or whoever) put the image on the cake and something like look how you've grown or something about how she still looks so young. They can do up to 8 1/2" x 11" per photo. I have even combined several to make a collage.

I found a photo of my best friends party when she was about 4 and they had a cake shaped like a frog (green and everything). We had the bakery recreate the same cake and used the photo for the invitations. That was a big hit.

Good luck!
Reply:How about you take a phtot of her(if you have one) and have them put it on the cake. It'll look nice.
Reply:Incorporate one of her hobbies. Does she like the tropics? Make a beach using graham cracker crumbs and blue icing for waves. Shopping? Use icing to make it look like a shoebox with a particular brand logo, like Manolo Blahnik which you can find on the internet.

The possibilities are endless. You can use candies for embellishment if you aren't much for fancy frosting work.

Website as a birthday gift?

I want to make a birthday present to my girlfriend. It's going to be a website. I'm going to put in there a card with flowers and congradulations, then I'm going to ask her friends to write some congrats and post them there too. There is also will be playing romantic music as a background sound. Could you plz give me some more ideas to make it more interesting and amazing?

(btw, I have basic knowledges of html and css) thnx!

Website as a birthday gift?
Pictures would always make it more personal. Maybe some poetry, if she likes that kind of thing. Links to her favorite sites, RSS feeds from websites she checks - things that she likes or are a part of her life are always safe bets.

Maybe a flash movie of you wishing her happy birthday. Or could be an embedded mpeg or something too, if you don't like flash.

I hope that helps a little. Go for what she likes and memories that you've shared. That should do the trick. Good luck!

3 tablespoons butter

3/4 cup all-purpose flour

2 cups milk

"EX" boyfriend got me flowers?

So, to make a very long story short my boyfriend of 1 year and about 4 months broke up with me. He had told me that he liked another girl about a week before this. I told him in that week that it was awakrd and when ever im around him i keep overanalyizing things. When he broke up with me he said that I am always in bad moods and he does not like it, and sorta like stupid reasons. But I think that it was mostly because of the girl, which btw does not like him. But i asked him if he wanted he to and he said yes. But a few hours later he said he made a mistake but i told him that i couldn't be with him knowing he likes her so we settled it with he will tell me when he thinks he figures his head out, whatever it may end with. So its been a little less than a week and its my 16th birthday, today. He sent me flowers in a vase to my house, what do you think? I don't know if this means he wants me back or not because he has not asked me? I thought that he might ask in the card but he didn't.

"EX" boyfriend got me flowers?
It could be that he remembered your birthday and nothing else. Did you want him to ask?
Reply:he got you flowers solely because he wants you back; he wants you to know he still has feelings for you and if you are still interested in him.... if you are, call him up and plan, if not...tell him how you feel about you guys being OVER
Reply:Ok. Maybe uor EX-boyfriend wants you back. HE probably didn't ask, because maybe he was scared. Maybe you should ask hime if he wants to get back together.

Birthstones/flowers/etc for my daughter?

I know that there are different birthstones, flowers, and other symbols assigned depending on when someone was born. My daughter was born August 14th, 2007. I'm wondering what stones, flowers or other symbols may represent her birthday/year/month. I'm thinking of getting a symbolic tattoo and I'm trying to brainstorm some options.

Birthstones/flowers/etc for my daughter?
How about a double moon, August 14th starts the Double Moon month of the Norse. Check out this website http://www.northvegr.org/date.php Also, besides the Gladiola, the poppy is also her flower.
Reply:you might try getting a tattoo of her star sign. here is an article on august hope it helps

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/August
Reply:The August birthstone is called Peridot and its colour is yellow and green. August birthstone has and still is being used as a means to connect to nature in particular belief systems such as Paganism. The word Peridot comes from and Arabic word which means 'Gem', the ancient Egyptians called the August birthstone 'Gem of the Sun'. The Peridot stone comes from a mineral known as Olivine. Another Birthstone for August is called Sardonyx: http://www.about-birthstones.com/augustb...

The August Birth Flower is the Gladiola, this flower is native to South America but grows in the US and Europe also. It is often referred to as the 'Sword Lilly' and it is purple in colour.

Gladiola :The sword like blossoms of the gladiola are responsible for its name and also for its symbolic meaning of strength of character. August birthdays are also known for a strong sense of character and moral integrity. The gladiola also reminds us that strength of character and integrity can look gorgeous and be full of rich personality.

Birthstone of August

Peridot: It is mentioned throughout the Bible, and early Christians considered it sacred. Traditionally wear a ring of peridot and amethyst as a symbol of purity and morality. Napoleon once made a gift of peridot to Josephine as a symbol of undying love and admiration.

Zodiac Sign

Leo: The majestic lion, the King of the Beasts, is Leo's symbol. Throughout history, the lion has symbolized sovereignty, rulership, and courage. Leos, like lions, are thought to be strong leaders. They generally have a regal quality to them, and possess a noble manner that is hard to miss.

I have been married for 15 yrs, and never buy flowers for my wife.?

Now we have married issued, but there are no 3rd party, fortunately. and I want to work it out. Next month will be her birthday, I want to buy flowers for her, and I don't even know what kind of flowers she like, and I don't want to ask her since she will notice. I just want make a surprise. what kind of flowers do you like girls/women out there ? could you give me suggestion ? and guys where do you buy flowers online that you think is good service for you wife/girlfriend ? what should I say on card ?

I have been married for 15 yrs, and never buy flowers for my wife.?
...go to a florist and ask their recommendations, ask for a card. and let your heart do the talking and deliver the flowers,

personally. with a hug and kiss.
Reply:1800flowers.com has a lot of different things to choose from. Or you can go to your local florist and have a professional help you with yolur choice. I love Lilies or Roses with babies breath.
Reply:You can go to flowers. com. and you can simply say I Love You and Thank You for Being There. A dozen red roses in a beautiful vase, she will be so excited and she will feel so loved. If she works she will be talking about it to everyone. Next time don't wait so long to show how you feel. :)
Reply:I think you should get her a bouquet of helium balloons (8-10), a fancy cake with butter cream icing, and a nice flower arrangement from a florist.

You can't go wrong with a nice surprise like that.

Then it would appear that you put a serious thought into this, than just a bunch of flowers from the grocery store.
Reply:I would go with 1800 flowers. their flowers are the best.

They have section where you can choose what occasion and they will show you some flower suggestions.

I would go with this one.

http://ww12.1800flowers.com/product.do?b...

my husband got these for me and they were beautiful
Reply:I wouldn't go for the typical Rose.....Go for something that shows you took the time to find the perfect flower for her. Something that fits her personality.

Personally I think roses are overrated kind of like gift cards just a quick and easy way to just show that you thought about him/her....I like it when I get something from someone that has there personal touch. I love to see how people see me.

Start with a flower that isn't always picked like an Orchid, or a bundle of flowers with a variety of flowers....

Make sure you take the time to fill out the card with something special from you....Perhaps something about why you fell in love, something only she does for you that just wows you, or a special event that you can't seem to quit smiling about.....Just make it personal not the cookie cutter fill-ins they offer at the store.

Good luck

I happen to like the "Stargazer Lily".
Reply:You can go to a florist and thay will help you. You can also take your wife to dinner and have a wonder full night. Please don't wait so long again.
Reply:Roses are good, buy them at the grocery store so you can see her expression when you give them to her-- card should say - I am so lucky to have been married to you for 15 years. Happy Birthday to my lovely wife.
Reply:The classic: roses. Buy a dozen long stem red roses. Don't buy those cheap ones for $9.99 a dozen. The second you open them, the petals fall off. They are 2nd handed or even lower. I wouldn't do online orders or grocery stores either. It's best if you go to a local florist. They usually have fresh flowers available and you can pick and choose which ones you want and tell them exactly what you want. When you order via online or on the phone, you don't get to see what you ordred and can be disappointing. In your case, I would take the extra step of hand selecting it and ask for some in person help.
Reply:stop being a cheap and get the woman some dagum flowers, wal-mart has them!!
Reply:roses or very pretty send her a dozen, but if her birthday around v-day send them early or for a week cause every woman will get flowers on v-day make ehr feel special. tell her you know you should do mor efor her and you relaize you have taken her for granted
Reply:Give her a dozen Black Roses and a Black eye to boot,Move on!Seriously If you don't know a flower shop that can deliver a dozen Red Roses you are finished,15 years of being an insincere husband No flowers ever is pretty hard to make up .for lost time.Deliver them yourself. To hell with the card say you are sorry when you hand them to her and kiss her.
Reply:You can't go wrong with roses. The are the flower of romance. Tell her you love her on the card. If you need to apologize for some thing do that also. Whatever your marriage issues are don't ignore them. Sit down and have a nice long talk disconnect all distractions.
Reply:What a shame. This is why you have marital issues---you've probably shown very little signs of affection or love for the past 15 years. I have a girlfriend, whose husband did the same thing for 20 years. He tried to turn over a new leaf about 5 years ago. It's too late and is not working. No matter what he does, the 20 bad years outweigh the small acts that he does now. Hopefully, yours isn't too late.

Birthday message in Tagalog?

I would like to send flowers to my girlfriend with a birthday message in Tagalog. Please help me translate the following:

To the world, you may be one person. But to me, you are the world. Happy birthday my love! Always and forever, Dani

Thank you!!

Birthday message in Tagalog?
sa ang daigdig ka mayo maaari isa tao. datapuwa't sa ako ka ay ang daigdig! maligaya kapanganakan akin ibigin! lagi at magpakailan man Dani

is the complete translation
Reply:The direct translation of "To the world, you may be one person. But to me, are the world" may not sound as romantic when you translate it to Tagalog, but here it is...

Ngayon at magpakailanman, Dani
Reply:Dani, you again!

Alright, let see now....

To the world = Pagdating ng panahon

you may be one person = baka ikaw rin at ako

But to me, you are the world = Baka tibok ng puso ko'y

Happy birthday my love! = Maging tibok ng puso mo!

Always and forever = Sana nga'y mangyari 'to
Reply:To the world, = Sa Mundo

you may be one person. = ikaw ay isang tao lamang

But to me, = pero sa akin

you are the world. = ikaw ang mundo

Happy birthday = maliganyang kaarawan

my love! = mahal ko

Always and forever, = nag mamahal

Dani = dani

But if you wanna translate it in a poetic way that will make your gf knock out here it is :)

(Name of the GF),

Sa mundo ikaw ay isang tao lamang, ngutin saakin ikaw ang aking mundo. Maligayang Kaarawan sayu aking mahal.

Nag mamahal,

Dani

....... Good Luck send me an email how she reacted :)
Reply:Are you bading?!
Reply:"Sa mundo, ikaw ay iisang tao. Ngunit para sa akin, ikaw ang aking mundo. Maligayang karawan, iking mahal! Ngayon at magpakailanman."

Choices:

*ikaw ang AKING MUNDO - means "you are the world to me"

*ikaw ang MUNDO KO - means, "you are my world"

"Always and forever" is "lagi at magpoakailanman", but you can also use "now and forever = ngayon at magpakailanman" as it sounds more poetic in Filipino.

Should I send him flowers or chocolates?

He's a friend of mine. he's living in another country and these seem to be my only options of what to send him for his birthday as I don't have time to mail him something from here. Would a guy like either one or is there no other good idea? he's living in turkey by the way...

Should I send him flowers or chocolates?
chocolates last longer than flowers, taste better, smell better, and satisfy appetites.
Reply:I would send chocolate. Girls appreciate flowers more.
Reply:Send him a check through Western Union. Nothing like a bit of money for a thoughtful gift.
Reply:How about choc covered pretzels, he with have choc and pretzel for snack.
Reply:Go with the chocolates.

I bought these flowers a little while ago...?

Today is my boyfriend Mom's birthday so I got her flowers. I bought them about 2 hours ago and was going to drop them off at her job, but she isn't there, or home. She is at the doctors and will be home in a little while. I figure I'll just cook myself some lunch and try to see if she's home in about an hour or two. Thing is, I don't ever really get flowers and I don't know how to care for them at all. I didn't get a vase (and I don't own vases) I got them as a wrap so it looks pretty. I sprinkled some water on the about 20 minutes ago. Will the flowers die or become not as beautiful within the next hour or two before I bring them to her?

I bought these flowers a little while ago...?
they should be okay. if you want, wrap some wet paper towels around the bottom of the stems and loosely wrap that with some plastic wrap so that water doesn't get everywhere. Leave that on until you go to your boyfriend's mother's house.
Reply:try just taking a glass or something and putting just a little bit of water in it and just put them in your fridge.
Reply:no they will be fine, they last in the store and entire day. flowers last at least a week before looking dead. dont put them in a vase because its a lot of work because you unwrap them and then wrap them again
Reply:fill the sink and put them in there ,or in a bucket of water in a cold, cool place they should be fine then I've brought flowers and kept them in a bucket of water in the shed over night and they looked just as nice as when i brought them , after all florist vans are refrigerated as the cold air keeps them fresh hope this helps love Tracey

He couldn't be bothered driving to see me on my birthday. Do I have any right to be upset?

-Today is my 19th birthday (Tuesday).

-I didnt go to school and didnt get a chance to see my friends, had legal business to take care of

-This morning my boyfriend crept into my room at about 7:30am, when I was still asleep, to bring me flowers and wish me happy birthday.

-We lay together for 15 minutes, then he said he had to go because he didnt want his dad to be mad about him having the car gone for too long.

-That afternoon, he knew I was alone (family issues, not talking to them and these also prevent me from having a little 'gathering' at my house for my bday)

-He called me at 6

-I asked him to come over (last night he said he 'might be able to')

-He lives 5-10 mins from me by car

-He said he couldnt be bothered driving and that he'd call me on Thursday

It's like I'm not worth a 5 minute drive to my house on my birthday. I understand that sometimes guys just cant be bothered, but youd think that on my birthday, he might spend some time with me.do i have any right to be upset?

He couldn't be bothered driving to see me on my birthday. Do I have any right to be upset?
Definitely
Reply:how do you know he jsut wasn't covering up that he got in trouble so you wouldn't think he was dumb.

and jsut because he couldn't be bothered to come see that night after he had done a zillion great htings for you, doesn't mean he doesn't lie you. he borught you flowers at 7 thirty in the frggin morning, he called you, who cares if he couldn't come over. there could have been many reasons he "couldn't have bothered" so stop worrying.
Reply:nope stop being a drama queen theres people worse off than you
Reply:What wasn't good enough for you about the morning flowers and birthday wishes? You were worth the 5 minute drive obviously. And he called you. Give the guy a break. Maybe he really couldn't come over. OR, maybe he's just not that into you and you acting all needy and dramatic is not going to help.
Reply:Honey, he came by and tiptoed in to wish you happy birthday with flowers and you got your own dramas going on (it sounds with the car issue so does he). You are both young and have issues. Get over it.
Reply:If you wanted to see him so bad then why didn't you go pick him up? He did surprise you this morning and nearly got in trouble because of the car. You cant expect him to run and jump at your beck and call when he's dealing with other peoples property. I don't think you have a right to be upset. He made an effort, just as you have family issues so does he, he cant just take his dads car and go.
Reply:I'm sorry youre going through this on your birthday, no body deserves that. Well, he did make an effort to see you this morning so you shouldnt be mad at him, you should be mad at the situation. I have had this happen to me before on my birthday, and its a special day for me and the other person doesnt understand how important it is for me to see them or whatever. Birthdays are usually an emotional day anyway, and I know how it feels. First of all, many years ago, I have learned to stop trusting others to act on my birthday. I plan AHEAD weeks before, an agenda for the day. So if some of my friends join me thats cool, if not, they will be missing out on the fun anyway. True friends will make time. I long ago stopped depending on my boyfriend to be there for me, and just planned stuff where if he is unable to join me, that he wouldnt ruin my day. For example on my birthday: Wake up early work out, get a facial and massage (get dropped off if you dont drive), go shopping, and at night get dressed, have a great dinner, go out for another place for dessert, and go to a lounge or a movie. And thats my plan, i'm depending on myself to enjoy my day because my day is important to me and i'm worth it. Well, dont be mad at him, but for his birthday, dont be too extra nice to him just keep the feelings neutral. My bf and my birthday is 13 days apart, mine comes first, when he doesnt do something nice for me, he can expect the same. Last yr, he took me out to a very very nice dinner, and it costed him $120 for 2 people! I didnt ask him to spend so much money on me, but he wanted me to do the same for his day! I was sorta broke later on. But its cool, this yr, i dont want to uncertain so I'm planning my day but keep a limit on spending a certain amount of money. OH, and about the whole "i'll call you thursday" part, he sounds flaky, and its not nice. And you have a right to be upset about that one.

What birthday/valentines present will i recieve?

my boyfriend said my birthday present/valentine present both on same day! wont be a massive bunch of flowers or anything spectucular, more sentimental and from the heart, what would you think if your boyfriend told you that lol

What birthday/valentines present will i recieve?
My birthday and Valentine's are separated nicely by several months.

If a girlfriend told me that, I would be flush with excitement for I know the present will be much more valuable than anything money could buy.

What it will be materially is anyone's guess, but I am willing to bet that is will be stark raving mad with love.

What present should i give to my female friend on her birthday?

without making her thinks that i like her too much... (like teddy bears, flower, ring....)

What present should i give to my female friend on her birthday?
Well if you don't want to give her the wrong impression, keep it simple, but something she's into. If your friends with her then you should know what she likes.
Reply:Well give her a perfume and also give her a card telling what a good friend she is that would be really nice. ;)
Reply:well if she is JUST a friend get her something a girl would buy a girl but if u like her as more than a friend but u dont want it to be too obvious but something sweet but not somethng u would buy ur wife

What to do for sister's 40th birthday?

My younger sister (by 4 yrs) is turning 40 next wk. She will be at work, in a busy hospital ER, at the registration desk. I really want to do something to call attention to her 40th birthday - she'd gorgeous, in great shape, very active, and has teased me for years about being the older sister. She is trying to downplay it. Now it's my turn! What can I do that won't be too over the top to get her in trouble? I see her there a lot because I am a paramedic. Oh - she will become a grandmother in April. Her coworker said not to send dead or black flowers - the hospital frowns on that, for some strange reason. Any ideas?

What to do for sister's 40th birthday?
Make a gift basket filled with preparation H and Depends, a girdle,a hot water bottle, wrinkle cream, Ben Gay, Prunes, and a "Meatloaf" or "Kiss" or "White Lion" record LP album. Put balloons and confetti all on it and set it on the Reception Desk with a big Happy Birthday Card!!
Reply:Send her a bouquet of balloons. Perhaps, even make signs and put them up in front of the door where she enters to go to work. But most of all, let her know that you love her.
Reply:wish her happy birthday
Reply:Show her you are the bigger person, and celebrate her 29th (or 21st) birthday instead!

It'll be a big surprise because she'll expect you to want to be mean.
Reply:Well, this is just an idea. My teacher did this once to her friend. She said that through out the whole day she had people that her friend hadn't seen in years call her and say Happy Birthday to her. Idk how well this went though. Our class had to sing Happy Birthday to her and then she started to cry, either because she liked it so much or suprised. idk. its just an idea
Reply:Okay - get a male friend to pretend to be a patient.

Shave the number 4 on his left butt cheek and the number 0 on his right butt cheek.

Maybe stick a candle or a rose in the middle.

Wheel him in to ER face down and tell your sister that you have a really unusual case for her.

Whip the sheet back and voila - the whole of ER burst into a chorus of 'Happy Birthday'!
Reply:For fun you can send her a singing telegram, now that would definitely cause attention to her big day and be very different.

What are some good ideas for Mommy's first mothers day?

I want this to be something that she will always remember. I did the SPA thing recently for her birthday. I am leaning toward Jewelry,Flowers and lunch with some friends...Any ideas to make this day extra special?

What are some good ideas for Mommy's first mothers day?
if you can manage it, sneak the baby out and have special portrait taken to surprise her. I love Mommy jewelery. Normally I don't wear a lot of Jewelery, but Love the mommy stuff. A locket is nice. a really nice bangle bracelet that can be inscribed on the inside is good too. A friend of mine got his wife and add-a pearl necklace and he gives her a pearl every mothers day ( along with dinner and flowers). I love to garden and My husband plants me a new rose bush every mothers day. I have a very nice rose garden now and everytime I look at it I am reminded of my kids. It's even more special becuase my Husband HATES yard work, so for him to do something like that is a big deal. With out knowing your wife, it's really hard to recommend anything specific.
Reply:If you have children since it is mothers day a professional portrait of the kids or even a shirt or mug something with the kids pictures and if there old enough let them make her something that will last forever. Also you can let the kids by her a rose bush to plant so every year when the roses grow she will remember that mothers day and the kids. Just some ideas I know as a mother I love all these things. Good Luck!!!
Reply:There was a similar question posted on ParentsConnect about just that! I think the answer was really good so I'll share it here: "My advice would be to pamper her by taking care of the baby in the morning and allowing her to sleep in. Breakfast in bed, a foot massage and a chance for a nice hot bubble bath may be in order. You can't go wrong with a beautiful bouquet of sweet-smelling flowers—especially if they're her favorite. Give her a gift certificate for a massage or a mani/pedi so that she will have an opportunity for future pampering."

Reply:For my husbands first Father's Day I purchased some watercolors and a small canvas. I painted my daughters tiny hands, (several times with different colors), and pressed them onto the canvas. I then had it professionally matted and framed. It turned out so beautiful and hangs in my husbands office to this day.
Reply:give her a card from the baby, and they have those clay kits to do the hand/or foot impression (those are neat) give her that as a gift and send her out for for lunch with her mother and you make the reservations so while they are eating you can have flowers delivered!!
Reply:I think you're on the right track. Get something the symbolizes the unity of the both of you and growth.
Reply:I like Sheri and Melissa's idea. Also let her have a a day off. Take the baby for the whole day.
Reply:nice and relaxing dinner would be wonderful, also try a mother and child jewerly.
Reply:I don't know any mom that wouldn't love a mother's ring or necklace.

Birthday present for my 3 month pregnant friend?

My friend who lives a couple of states away is going to celebrate her 27th. birthday next month. She is pregnent and I was wondering what I can send her for a gift. I'd like to send something funny, cute, and or practical. Remember, this will be sent threw the mail. Flowers are not an option. Thanks for the help!!!

Birthday present for my 3 month pregnant friend?
First off, what a nice friend you are to ask for advice on this. Its very thoughtful and I'm sure she'll appreciate it. Send her a funky maternity top. Something non mom-ish. Or some new pjs. I loved new pjs. If she reads, a book. Once the baby is born, the only thing she'll read for the next 4 years is "Goodnight Moon" and "Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See?"

Oooo..or a gift certificate for a pedicure - cheap one or a nice spa one. Another couple months and she won't be able to reach her feet to rub the aches or to cut the toenails. Its a treat!
Reply:gift cards are very practical. or tickets to a movie and dinner. sorry no funny or cute.
Reply:There is a great website called

Euphoriamaternity.com

I got a great basket for a friend of mine with all sorts of pregnancy, birth and recovery items. She loved it and still uses a lot of the items even though it's been 5 months!
Reply:Get her a gift certificate for 8 more months of pedicures. That will cover her through her pregnancy, and a few months after when she is still trying to feel good about herself.

Foot care gets harder and harder the more pregnant a gal is....I couldn't touch my feet from 7 months onward.
Reply:Maybe a gift certificate to a spa
Reply:If she doesn't have it already....Get her a gift set of "What to expect when you're expecting" and "What to expect the first year". I know Barnes and Noble sells them as a gift set online...Otherwise buy her a scrapbook, make her a page, put your picture on the back with a message to her and the baby, and mail her the blank book with your personalized page in it.

What is the best gift (birthday) i could give to my girlfriend or the best thing i could do?

she prefer gifts which are not just bought she want something that i made it on my own, shes not more onto stuffed toys, flowers etc. so how could i make her birthday great ,beautiful!

What is the best gift (birthday) i could give to my girlfriend or the best thing i could do?
tell you what.. love is not all about giving gifts goin out to favourite places and stuffs. the best way is a big tight hug with her b day wishes that would make her feel more attached towards you pal. its not that only if you give her gifts you will b considered as her true love...... a true birthday wish from your heart is enough to make it the best birth day gift ever. good luck friend
Reply:take her to her faviroite place

What is the best way to care for gerberas in a flower arrangement? (Please read details!)?

My daughter's first birthday party is this Saturday and I wanted to get pink Gerberas for the tables, but I am not the best with plants and flowers and keeping things alive... Am I completely safe to get the flowers the night before so I have less to do the morning of the party? Will they still look firm and fresh? Also - what should I put them in (besides water)...or basically, how do YOU care for flower arrangements?

Thank you!!!

What is the best way to care for gerberas in a flower arrangement? (Please read details!)?
Gerberas are notorious for being the first ones to go in an arrangement of mixed flowers. Sure you can buy them the day before the party and they will last overnight if the florist hasn't' had them for a while before selling them.

What I do is when I get them home I cut all the stems about 1" at an angle. Then if the florist has given you a packet of flower life extender then I add that to fresh warm water and immediately place the freshly cut flowers in. If you don't get the extender then you can use 7-UP or an aspirin in the water with one drop of bleach to prevent algae. Then I re-cut the flowers everyday and add fresh water.

Happy birthday to your daughter!
Reply:I always purchase my floral arrangements the day before parties or events. I keep them in the fridge overnight to keep them fresh. In the morning, I check the water and sometimes change it. I also check the ends of the stems to see whether they need a fresh cut. Some people swear by putting an asprin in the water to keep them fresher longer, but I usually just use the little preservative packetts included with the flowers.
Reply:Gerbera Daisy is no different than any other cut flowers... Just Keep it watered, and in a cool dry place (out of sunshine and away from heat) if you want a longer time than just the day with the arrangements....

It should be safe to get then the day before, provided you pick out healthy looking ones...NO brownish looking or wilted anything in the bunch..... and keep them in the air-conditioning till put out onto the tables......Happy Birthday to your daughter , good luck with your party, and Have FUN!

Has Anyone Ever Purchased Flowers Using Lane Bryant Companies Credit Cards?

Every time I've used their service (which is really Telaflora) they mess up the order. I ordered flowers for my sister for two days before Christmas, and it took them 1 1/2 days to deliver them, even though I called in the morning to order. Then they were crummy looking. When I called to complain, they gave me the standard "We'll take your complaint and see what can be done" which I've always found to be is nothing, the girl told me that florists pay T.F. to be first in line for referrals. The florist they sent my order to was 14 miles from my sisters house, where as she has two florists who deal in T.F. in her town! Today was the last straw. I called in some flowers for my daughter's birthday and the florist called me to say they didn't have that arrangement, and then confided in me that the 60.00 I paid to T.F. is only paying for a 34.00 arrangement! But, on the T.F. web page, they showed I purchased one for 45.00. RIP OFF. I'm not using them again, and am telling Lane Brynt

Flowers and Peace signs?

Brighton has this new campaign called "give peace a chance" and in one of thier stores i saw a poster of the word peace and flowers growing out of the top

I can't find a picture of it any where

anyone have it or something similar?

or want to draw/sketch it?

I need to to make my friend's birthday gift.

thanksssss

Flowers and Peace signs?
Is this close?

And btw, it was John Lennon and the Plastic Ono Band that did "Give Peace a Chance," not the Beatles per se.
Reply:It's possible to look on The Beatles websites since they we're the ones that did the song. I think mayby they could have gotten the poster either thru that or mayby a peace/flowers posters website

Unique Birthday gifts for my girlfriend?

I've been dating this girl for almost 3 yrs. I've bought things from photo albums to jewelry box to clothing to jewelry, flowers, and stuffed animals. This year for her 15th birthday i want to buy her something different then anything i have bought her yet. I don't want to get her candy because she really doesn't like it too much. I have already got her a couple shirts for her birthday but i wasn't something else that was different then anything I've gotten her before. Something that she would never ever think of but i want it to be sweet not tacky. Also i was wondering some ideas that i could do for her that day to make her birthday the most special day of the year. Thanks

Unique Birthday gifts for my girlfriend?
Pamper her by paying for her to get her nails done, massage, and stuff. Figure what you want to spend and see what they will do for that amount.
Reply:get your pictures taken together...make sure to check out the price first because it can get pricey...walmart will charge about $6 if you only buy the first pose...you can also get 15? cards for an extra $10.

or take her to the beach and bring a picnic that you packed.

Or bring her to bath and body works and let her pick a few things out.

or give her "love coupons" - make them yourself....just strips of constuction paper that are decorated and say thing like "good for one walk in the park"

"good for 1 kiss" etc.
Reply:If you need a different birthday gift idea, these personalized soaps from soapcard.com might do the trick. They make romantic heart shaped soaps with your photo and personalized message embedded inside. I got one for my boyfriend and he loved it. You can write all kinds of funny stuff. My boyfriend thought it was super cute, .the "Think of me when you're feeling dirty" soap was the one he loved the most.
Reply:I have the perfect romantic gift for you: http://lovesagame.com/name-a-star-the-ul...
Reply:If she likes flowers or orchids, you can consider embedding her photo or name in acrylic together with a flower as a present for her. This can be bought online at the website mentioned below.
Reply:get her a ring........
Reply:do something thats personal to the 2 of you.

a really good bet is a picture in a nice frame. my gf gave me one of a trip we had to the beach once. its the best present i ever got from her.

and you can do it for really cheap.

buy her the usual girly items like smelly things and flowers as well of course.

other things you could do are put together a scrap book of memories and such like over the past few years

also write her a letter rather than a card telling her how much she means to you.

my gf did this to me and it was so nice.
Reply:Think about what she really likes. Pay attention when you go out to the movies, or on a date. Listen to her and she will mention something that she really likes.

If you don't come up with anything take her on a day long excursion. Set up a crazy scavenger hunt that ends at a park where you are waiting with a candle light picnic. Along the way leave little gifts with her clues. Its exciting and it takes a lot of thought and effort. Any girl would love it!
Reply:Maybe you can do a collague of pictures of your relationship. You know, places you've been to, random pictures you've taken, ticket stubs, etc. Something that will really show her how much you love her and are enjoying the relationship. Or you could take her to a spa and get her pampered. You know, get her a manicure and pedicure, a nice massage, facial, etc. Girls really enjoy that type of stuff.

Good Luck! =)
