Today is my boyfriend Mom's birthday so I got her flowers. I bought them about 2 hours ago and was going to drop them off at her job, but she isn't there, or home. She is at the doctors and will be home in a little while. I figure I'll just cook myself some lunch and try to see if she's home in about an hour or two. Thing is, I don't ever really get flowers and I don't know how to care for them at all. I didn't get a vase (and I don't own vases) I got them as a wrap so it looks pretty. I sprinkled some water on the about 20 minutes ago. Will the flowers die or become not as beautiful within the next hour or two before I bring them to her?

they should be okay. if you want, wrap some wet paper towels around the bottom of the stems and loosely wrap that with some plastic wrap so that water doesn't get everywhere. Leave that on until you go to your boyfriend's mother's house.
Reply:try just taking a glass or something and putting just a little bit of water in it and just put them in your fridge.
Reply:no they will be fine, they last in the store and entire day. flowers last at least a week before looking dead. dont put them in a vase because its a lot of work because you unwrap them and then wrap them again
Reply:fill the sink and put them in there ,or in a bucket of water in a cold, cool place they should be fine then I've brought flowers and kept them in a bucket of water in the shed over night and they looked just as nice as when i brought them , after all florist vans are refrigerated as the cold air keeps them fresh hope this helps love Tracey
