MyBirthday however has passed by a month, but it sure would have been nice to recieve a surprise delivery,of a very small bouquet of lilies,and pink roses,with a bit of greenery. Matter of fact, either one would have been beautiful.

Reply:I always like something in a pot. Flowers in a vase die. Things in pots can be transplanted to the garden and either way can bloom for years - brightening both the garden and the house as one chooses. Calculating coot, aren't I! And, expecting nothing - my birthday is Feb 3, which is 3/2/32 the way we write it, which means it may be the last thing I forget. But on the subject of flowers I like miniature cyclamen, any small flower, and modest Australian brown boronia, which breathes out the perfume Paradise should have, in season - and Cootamundra wattle trees which are cascades of honey-scented gold in winter. So picture them, and enjoy.
